Why Vatican Enterprises? Well, it's because
the company started out as a home based business for the owner Benjamin Pope.
It only made sense to call it "Vatican" as everyone knows that's where the
"Pope" is. In any case, we have no affiliation or influence with the
real "Vatican" in Rome so we don't require any ring kissing, pontificating,
or take prayer requests. What we do, is try to provide the best wargame
scenics we can to the serious tabletop wargamer. Benjamin Pope has
been a wargamer for 25 years and he enjoys having the chance to mix a little work
and play together.
Benjamin Pope also holds the only US patent issued for the development of
modular model castle structures for use in tabletop miniature wargames. Way
back in 1983, Benjamin Pope was manufacturing and selling 15mm polyurathane
foam castles before any other wargame scenery supplier. He was, however,
ahead of his time. The gaming market and personal resources to support
this early endevor were not available. Now , we're back with
better products, better resources, and 20 more years of modeling, gaming,
and educational experience. This time were're going to do it right.
