Why Vatican Enterprises? Well, it's because the company started out as a home-based business for the owner Benjamin Pope. It only made sense to call it "Vatican" as everyone knows that's where the "Pope" is. In any case, we have no affiliation or influence with the real "Vatican" in Rome, so we don't require any ring kissing, pontificating, or take prayer requests. What we do, is try to provide the best wargame scenics we can to the serious tabletop wargamer.
- In 1983 Ben was granted US utility and design patents for the development of modular model castle structures for use in tabletop miniature wargames. Way back then, Ben was manufacturing and selling 15mm polyurethane foam castles before any other wargame scenery supplier. He was, however, ahead of his time. The gaming market and personal resources to support this early endeavor were not available. Now, we're back with better products, better resources, and many more years of modeling, gaming, and educational experience.
